Dry Needling

Dry needling is a modern treatment designed to ease muscular pain. Its popularity is growing. During dry needling, a practitioner inserts several filiform needles into your skin. Filiform needles are fine, short, stainless steel needles that don't inject fluid into the body. That's why the term “dry” is used.

IASTM (Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization)

Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) is a popular treatment for myofascial restriction. IASTM uses specially designed instruments to provide a mobilizing effect to scar tissue and myofascial adhesions.

PIM (Passive instrumental manipulation)

Manipulative therapy has known a parallel development throughout many parts of the world. The earliest historical reference to the practice of manipulative therapy in Europe dates back to 400 BCE. Over the centuries, manipulative interventions have fallen in and out of favor with the medical profession.

Pilates for Rehabilitation

Pilates is the go-to method for rehabilitation and recommended by PT’s and doctors due to its therapeutic nature. It’s a whole-body exercise that promotes agility, strength, and good posture. A healthy body requires both mobility and stability and Pilates meets those needs. Pilates exercises can be modified to meet the injured clients' needs in their current state

Essentials of female Pelvic Floor

The Female Pelvic Floor Essentials course is a 2 day live event focusing on the basic skills necessary to treat patients with pelvic health dysfunction with primary emphasis on under active pelvic floor muscle conditions.

The focus of the labs will be on external vaginal examination.

The student-to-teacher ratio will be 9:1 to ensure adequate supervision during the labs.

Lectures will cover anatomy of the pelvic girdle, physiology of micturition, dysfunctions of the lower urinary tract and pelvic muscles as well as patient history examination, and testing and treatment interventions for the patient with under active pelvic floor muscle conditions.

Urogynecologic surgeries, medication, prevention of pelvic floor dysfunction and documentation will also be discussed.

Advanced Female Pelvic floor

Participants will demonstrate an advanced knowledge of pelvic floor assessment and differential diagnosis and be able to generate plans of care that take into consideration all accompanying comorbidities and lifestyle related challenges.

Participants will demonstrate ability to perform selected visceral mobilization techniques as well as understanding of when and how to select patients for use of these techniques.

Participants will demonstrate clear understanding of nutrition and hormonal impacts on the pelvic floor as well as ability to help patients adjust their choices in these areas to optimize outcomes.

Pregnant Pelvic Floor
